Working with Libby has been a standout experience. Not only is Libby knowledgeable, practical, an exceptional problem solver and a beautiful designer – she was also a welcome addition to our home over the past 18months. In addition, she was aware of our budget and was able to work with us to combine some special pieces, alongside some very budget friendly options as well as incorporating existing art works, furniture, and ceramics.
We had not embarked on renovations before and didn’t know if a designer was for us until we met Libby. She was able to incorporate our tastes, ideas, slightly wonky house, and our desperation for increased storage and support us to turn our small home into a place we love spending time in. It is now both a family home and a sophisticated place to relax, cook and entertain. We often joke about how Libby is an enforcer of trades, and her team are skilled, professional and timely.

I had never worked with an interior designer before and could have not have imagined how much beauty and style could be created in our home. Libby’s ideas were amazing. She was able to quickly assess my style while gently encouraging me to take risks with some bolder, more exciting ideas. As a result, I trusted her implicitly – she just got it! The outcome is our beautiful home which my son and I want to spend more and more time in. It’s a place we truly call home now. She helped create sumptuous living spaces in a small(ish) inner west home and create fabulous storage solutions too. I feel such joy and happiness whenever I walk in the front door.

I am confident recommending Libby’s design services. She made turning our ugly Sans Souci 70s villa into a calm, beautiful age-proof home look easy! It was my first experience working with an interior designer, but I’d seen and admired Libby’s work in our former neighbour’s home in Marrickville. Our initial consultation was both exciting and reassuring, and everything on the wish list seemed achievable. The tradespeople Libby used and closely supervised were all excellent. Work was done on time and only slightly over budget (my contribution being often choosing the more expensive finish). The process of demolition and reconstruction, which I was anxious about, was smoothly and competently managed. The decoration, also a worry, has been a joy!
I’m not fond of shopping or of making choices, and Libby helped enormously with guidance and short lists of options. The additional challenge of making the home suitable for aging in place wasn’t ever an issue, and Libby and her network of suppliers went the extra mile to find needed items that don’t look institutional.
The end result is functional and a delight to live in, and means that the decision to downsize and get help from Libby and her team was completely right. So grateful!

Libby worked with us on a fairly extensive renovation over a period of months. The brief I gave her was not easy; can you meld my Scottish background with some gothic type styles but not have the place look like a freak show?

Libby has worked with us for over 12 months doing a major ‘refreshment’ on a Victorian house that has been much loved and lived in over the years. Libby was able to quickly identify proposed changes to formal living areas and bedrooms and gave us clear options and a plan for much needed uplifting. We now have two very stylish rooms for entertaining and using everyday – new floor coverings, blinds, furniture and resolving a rising damp problem that has challenged us over the years.
Libby ran a tight project, was able to engage sub-contractors efficiently and without any pain on our part, problem solve and provide options that we could play with. She is easy to work with and very prompt to any need or problem if one came up. It was so good in fact, that we ended up putting in new sliding doors to the outdoor area – they are sensational. Libby sourced the work, engaged an excellent builder and the doors were in place with little disruption.
Libby has a good feel for and expertise with older houses (and their problems) and modern solutions to functional fit without losing the beauty of age.
I would be happy to recommend Libby’s interior design work to anyone considering uplift and style.

I engaged Libby to design built-in wardrobes, desks and shelving in my teenage sons’ bedrooms, as well as storage and shelving that incorporated a gas fireplace in the living room. To say I am happy with the result would be an understatement! Libby designed both beautiful and functional solutions that have solved storage problems and greatly improved the aesthetic appeal of our home’s interior. Her use of colour and attention to detail was outstanding. Libby was an enormous help in refreshing many aspects of our house: painting, new storage, custom joinery, wallpaper, artwork and new furniture. She provided a cohesive vision within rooms and across the whole house while weaving in our personal stamp.
Impressively, we have two young boys and Libby managed to produce options that were stylish, on budget but still kid friendly.
On top of her creative contributions, her project management inputs were huge – organising trusted tradies (we’d have no idea who to choose!) and occasionally even meeting them when we couldn’t be at home. We were also super appreciative of Libby’s rapid communication over email, pushing us to make decisions to keep things moving and presenting options (though not overwhelming us) at multiple budget points.

We are so thankful that we engaged Libby to manage our renovation project. After an initial consultation and a couple of catch ups on our vision, likes, dislikes and must haves, Libby very quickly came up with a concise presentation and build designs that captured all of our ideas whilst adding her own signature flare.
What we found most useful was the hours of leg work (and arguments!) she saved us. Her range of options were always considered from both a design and a budget perspective. Before we knew it, she had assembled her team, the re-build had commenced and within couple of months were complete.
Our renovation included a new study, dining, kitchen and laundry as well as new floors and back doors. Being a federation semi-detached, our build had a number of unusual hick-ups, but through thoughtful consideration and discussions, they were all overcome.
From the beautiful joinery that ads so much storage and symmetry, to the colour choices and openness that create a lovely sense of space, we couldn’t be happier with the outcome.
