Haberfield House III

Project Brief

My clients in Haberfield contacted me wanting some custom joinery in the main living space and two of the bedrooms of their beautiful timber cottage style home. They wanted to incorporate a gas fireplace which we installed into one corner to create sitting space with a stunning Jardan armchair beside it (you can see the gorgeous Jessie above enjoying this spot!).

The space is beautifully eclectic and showcases my client’s treasures from living in the Middle East.  The matt texture and concrete/terrazzo fusion of Caesarstone Frozen Terra was the perfect stone selection in this design with a waterfall down the side of the fireplace.  Dulux Moonwort was chosen for its soft earthy tones and brings a sense of calm into this living space.

The inclusion of vertical groove detail on the drawer fronts and open shelving back boards ties in with some panelling detail in the rest of the house.  We also designed and installed some wardrobes and built in desks and shelves in two bedrooms for my clients’ sons, these also had the same vertical groove detail which creates connection throughout the home.
