Some of us are drawn to colour but are afraid to decorate with it in our homes. This is because colour is daring and bold; neutrals are safe. I wanted to share these images above as they show how you can use colour in a subtle way and still transform your home.
The sofa image (source unknown) uses beautiful soft blues, a dusty muted terracotta and copper combined with the freshness of white and grey, creating a calming and stylish room, all without being over powering.
The kitchen image (source www.breathe.com.au) uses beautiful lemon, grey and white geometric tiles and a sculpted island bench with limed ply, such a beautiful combination - gentle yet with impact.
The image with wall art (my own) shows how we can use pops of colour in soft furnishings - such a great way to refresh and update any space (and the little floral collections are little bits of coloured love picked by my little boys that simply make me happy).
We can use colour in the most subtle of ways and still inject our space with the change its craving.
